GORDON BROWN UPDATE

Monday 19th May 2025 - The children have arrived safely, and have had a tour of the Centre. After their first meal at Gordon Brown they are ready for the fun activities in the forthcoming week. They have met the animals which they absolutely adore.

Tuesday 20th May 2025 - After a lovely first day full of excitement, the children had a restful night's sleep and woke up bright and early, ready for more adventure. They enjoyed a healthy breakfast to fuel the day ahead. Today’s challenges are all about courage, teamwork, and fun! The group will be conquering new heights by climbing the famous wall and taking daring leaps from incredible heights. Teamwork will be put to the test as they come together to build their own rafts. Meanwhile, some of the children are diving into a game of archery tag, showing off their agility and aim.

Wednesday 21st May 2025 - After an action-packed day yesterday, the children were up bright and early this morning, eager to dive into another round of exciting activities. They challenged themselves on the high and low ropes, channelled their inner gladiator as they powered through the obstacle course and wrapped up the day with a thrilling game of laser tag. The highlight, however, was a surprise visit from Ms Loosemore, a moment that brought huge smiles and cheers of excitement from everyone!

Thursday 22nd May 2025 - After a lovely surprise visit from Ms Loosemore yesterday, the children are diving into their final full day at the centre. Today promises to be exciting! Some of the children will be testing their aim and going for gold in archery, while others will learn how to build a campfire and even enjoy some freshly popped popcorn over the flames. Meanwhile, the rest of the group will be putting their senses to the test on the blindfold trail, relying on teamwork and the support of their friends to guide them through. To round off their amazing stay, the evening will be filled with laughter, creativity, and applause during the talent show.

Friday 23rd May 2025 - After a magical week of adventure, discovery, and countless memories, it’s time for the children to say goodbye to Gordon Brown. They've spent their days exploring the great outdoors, bonding with friends, and challenging themselves in ways that have made us all incredibly proud. Naturally, there are some heavy hearts as they leave behind a place that’s become very special to them. But there's also a growing buzz of excitement as they look forward to being back home and ready to share their stories with loved ones. The coaches are now being loaded, and with a bit of luck with traffic we are expecting the children to arrive back before 3:30pm.
